Hi, I need to know where and how I can edit the dictionary program that checks the spelling in my computer because I added a word which was spelt wrongly to my dictionary which checks the spelling in my computer and I want and need to remove it from the dictionary program in my computer.
Please help me solve my current problem.

You don’t say what dictionary your using so this is going to be hard to answer.
If its MS word, do this
On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Spelling & Grammar tab.
Click Custom Dictionaries.
Select the dictionary you want to edit. Make sure you do not clear its check box.
Click Modify.
To delete a word, select it in the Dictionary box, and then click Delete.
To edit a word, delete it, and then add it with the spelling you want.

Question by starburst: How do you use dictionary on a cell phone?
On my cell phone, there is a tool called “dictionary” for text-messaging. As soon as you type a letter, it types a word that begins with that letter and it is sooo confusing. I have no clue why it does this. If it is a faster method of texting, I would like to know how to use it. Anyone have this?

i have one called “word”, and it does the same thing. in the end, it NEVER gets the word right. just use the old form. much easier.

In the US, the Simon and Schuster bilingual dictionary. Absolutely no question.
In the UK and Europe, Langenschiedt makes a good one for literature; Collins is the best of the rest.
I really prefer Simon tho, because it has a lot of technical terms. But it’s not available in Europe any more.
