Question by Jacolyte: Where can I find a Dutch-English dictionary that includes slang and colloquialisms?
I’ve been using http://dict.cc to learn German, and it includes many colloquialisms and phrases. dict.cc even includes the English word “sup”
dict.cc will also let you put in phrases like “what’s up”, etc.
I would like to know if there exists a Dutch-English dictionary much like dict.cc
Thanks.

I recommend that you go to Amazon.com and look for such a book to purchase. While such things exist online for the most commonly spoken Western European languages, they generally either don’t exist for the lesser ones or else they are terribly shabby and unreliable. At least, that’s been my experience.

I could not get a date in high school, and it wasn’t because I was selective. I had a very specific type, and only certain girls fit into that very specific type. I ignored the others. Why bother shopping in a section where there’s nothing that attracts you?

There seems to be a great divide about how many pros and cons there are to self-publishing and traditional publishing. In fact ask a person who has seen success with self-publishing (or traditional publishing) and more often than not, there are more pros to self-publishing than there are with traditional publishing. Those who believe in traditional publishing and those who are firm in their belief on self-publishing, seems to always point out the many good points to their style or type of publishing.
