Margins are very important for printing. They are nothing but empty spaces. It is a prerequisite for printing which makes sure that the document does not have any edges that have been cut out on the outside and words are not lost on the inside of the page where the pages are bound together.

Searchable means a web based database of some sort.
Flat-file or database proper.
I’m guessing you can’t do that by your question. But I put a link to a script that you might use later.
For now join http://db.zoho.com, it’s free.
you can easily upload you spreadsheet into a searchable online database.
Then promote that database/ link from your site, or serve from your site in a frame.
